I started gutting out my coupe and I had a couple of questions. First thing is does anyone know away for me to keep a third brake light after removing the original? Also what's the best way to clean everything?
I use soap and water.
The 3rd brake that's attached to the deck lid?
I wouldn't personally worry about it, but check state laws about it being required. My state it is required, but my bulb has probably been burnt out 2+ years.

Are you talking about cleaning the bare metal under all of the trim/seats? I would use simple green and/or soap and water and probably some scotch brite pads and some rags.
As for the brake light, hook a light up to the same wire. Zip tie it up or fabricate something better.
