got a 93 sedan dx with a d16z6 swapped into it i live in texas and its hot as **** lol it was working just fine last nite then suddenly my cars rpm raised up to 2k at idle with the ac on and isnt blowing cold anymore. what should i try and check?

 

You need to hook up a guage to your low and high pressure lines and see what the readings are at idle with the ac on.

 

If you have a leak and lose your freon the compressor knows the change in pressure and won't come on. Hence your idle will go up. Hopefully you just have a bad o-ring in the schrader valve (cheap fix). Try to get it fixed ASAP before moisture gets in your system.

 

First check whether the condenser fan runs and whether the compressor clutch engages.
