A ctr intake cam is the same part found in 2000-01 ITR engines, it is decent, i certainly wouldn't call it a crazy or aggressive cam at all though. Aftermarket cams are available with far more lift and duration for more power, but only make more power if you bump up the compression in a major way

deetz i think he was asking what cam gears to use on his set up since his car is acting like the cams aren't timed correctly

Mixing a different intake cam with a exhaust cam, of course your overlap will be different and result in a different "cammed out" idle. Get adjustable cam gears, and advance/retard the cam(s) to your liking. Most likely either the intake cam is advanced, or/and the exhaust cam is retarded.

In my application I advanced my intake cam, and retarded my exhaust cam to help bottom mid-range power since I still have the poor flowing LS head. In result of doing so, I increased the overlap and started the period earlier. Which causes my car to have a lope during my idle, I love it.
