00 DX hatch rack and pinion...p/s delete?

I need to replace the rack in my hatch, and was wondering if all the racks are universal. ive also been wanting to do a power steering delete and was wondering whats involved?

You need a '96 - '00 Rack. If you don't want P/S get a CX rack, subframe and lower U-joint.

is it bad for the ps rack if i just take out the pump and lines and drive around like that?

i did that mod dont swap the the rack do this watch using the power rack an pinion
