$50 paint job
So I was bored and I decided to paint my 93 civic to give it some shine.
Steps.
Sanded the whole car with 400 grit.
Wet sanded the car with 1000 grit.
(Sanding took about 9 hours)
Taped everything up.
Used paint rollers to slap on some paint.
(4 thin coats)
Let it air dry.
Before.

During.

After.

its going to peel you should have just sanding it with 320 then 400 not 400 and then 1000. 1000 grit is to get rid of orange peel after its been repainted. You must not know what you are doing the i guess if your happy with it then it is what it is I guess. Would suggest this to anyone please save your money and get a real paint job. there are people out there that dont work for companies that would be more than welcome to paint it for a small fee. And one of those people would be me.
yeah that's true, 400 grit than paint, build up the coats to fill in any scratches, apply about 4-5 coats, wait till its 100% cured, 1000 grit to cut the orange peel, buff with compounds to get the shine.
Doesn't look bad at all for $50. People, remember this is only $50 so of course it's not going to be the best. I was thinking about doing this, but then I thought I might as well do a quality paint job if I'm already going to spend all that time on it. But yeah, looks pretty nice.

Not everybody needs a high-gloss / three stage paint job to make them happy. ****, I rattled canned my old EG with gloss white from Rustoleum, just because I was a broke *** teenager. IMO, a decent gloss white paintjob > scratched, smudged, and oil saturated primer.

i did the same thing only i sprayed mine...rustoleums professional enamel from lowes $26 and a gallon of paint thinner $10. gotta thin the paint out 3:1 (that 3 parts paint to 1 part thinner)
and i still havent wetsanded and buffed yet
