Godspeeds will not adjust... Help.
I know these threads have been made 100x... Trust me, I searched every htech article through google. Picked up a set of godspeeds on here for cheap... Yea yea, "Cheap ebay coilovers... Pieces of ****." Whatever you guys want to say.. But progress is sold out till late august and I don't have the money to drop GC+yellows and I got these for 375 practically new. I got the RS series so it has the preload + height adjust seperate. SOOOOO my problem... Got the rears on + new LCA's and driver side is decently dumped with just preload(hand tight) and height adjust @ the base of the strut.. Maybe a finger is the gap upward, maybe. Now the passenger side is my issue... Same set up, different height. Lower the spring travel, same height. Lower the "height" adjustment, same height. It will not lower. It stays in the exact same height no matter what adjustment is made. The coilover isn't hitting anything because I drove it all night and no clanking, etc.. Hheellpp? Appreciate it.
Maybe not too many people are running these coilovers and maybe none of them have had this issue.
Should have checked Ebay for some vendors that have them IN STOCK.
I know it doesn't help your issue but bashing H-T isn't going to trick anyone into helping you and faster.

Obviously it's not going to help but someone has to have at least an offer to trouble shoot something, anything.. Something has to be stopping the travel of the suspension outside of the coilover because I lower the actual strut itself, so it would impossible to not go lower.
To answer you other, I found only one on ebay with progress in stock and they wouldn't message me back when I asked why the picture they had, had extended top hats and if those were the ones I'd be receiving. Obviously per progress, you use oem hats so I was sketchy and it was 10 dollars cheaper than out "H_Tech" hook up..
Good to be suspicious. Progress stated ADAMANTLY that they DO NOT recommend running those with extended top hats.
TBH I'm having trouble picturing how you get the same ride height when you adjust the collars up or down.

so its the rear that won't change in height at all? or the front passenger? maybe its not the coilovers but something wont budge on your suspension links? Never heard this before. I know this doesn't help in any way but I think everyones confused as to why it wouldn't lower. When you got them did you compress the shocks by hand to see if they were blown or functioning correctly? I wanted to get a set before cause they were so cheap. In for results.
i know people have said before to not tighten the bolts completely until the car is on the ground. I guess its trial and error until you get to something. GL

Usally when you don't do the this, the bushings will tear, this is where people get the idea that the car will settle.
Swap sides and see if the issues contiunues. If it does you have an issue with the coilover, not the car.
That simply keeps the factory bushings from tearing when you lower the car back down.

Then some naturalist gets along stating
Now a revolution may follow.
98civdx, you (and tyson and patrick and all other saints) are absolutely correct.
It's just that some people do what's right not because they understand why, but because some 'divine' rule tells them to.
Then some people get along, telling the why and the how, so people can see the light (of reason) for their own.
-never mind, it's late for me

If you lower the strut height, the car should immediately lower.. period. Doesn't matter what bushing is stuck where, the strut is lower. The trailing arms can be stuck all day on a sleeve coilover because the spring is the adjustment. None the less it is fixed and I'm not half assing anything(no need to, not my daily) thats why energy should be in the mail this week.
None the less, the car was lowered on cut springs prior to my purchase so the bushings are **** anyway. I did not know this till after I took the rear stock struts off waiting for the news.
HA that's awesome. Sometimes when I clean out the daily, I find things like that. We took it up to lake erie two weeks ago to get sauced on the boat... we found 8oz coors on the way up and figured it was the perfect road beer. Found 3 more under the seat yesterday lol
Yea I was pretty happy.
We took a trip out on my buddy's boat the other day, found a case of the OG 4 loko in the frigde!
Needless to say, I am still suprised no fell off. lol
