hi im new to this site and hondas but need help wiring vtec

This is the same for a d series?

 

And iwired it and have a p28 but now im gettin a CEL whether the vtec is wired or not but wen i switch back to my p06 it goes away any ideas of wut it may be and also can ihook up a scanner to check for the CEL code

 

You sure you wired it correctly? What CEL?
