Just installed a fresh new y8 harness on my obd2 jdm d15b w 3stage vtec with p2j ecu. After installing it, it finally started up. But there was one problem thought everything was ok till i hit the road to go back home. Engaging it to first i would step on the gas and around 2 - 2.5k rpms it would sound like there was a rev limiter but it would go past and everything would be ok. then when i would switch gears there would be a lot of play room till the gas hit again and it would jerk. also even if i release a bit from the gas the car would jerk as if i was downshifting to very high rpms and when i press on the gas again a little bit after releasing it would jerk.

Check the ignition timing and TPS output voltages. Also try resetting the ECU.

 

I'm unsure about 3stage vtec. Do you need to run another wire for secondary solenoid?? If there is one. Like I said not to sure.

 

is there a check engine light on?

 

So i finally fixed this problem. i had to do the 3 iacv to 2 iacv. But after doing this, a new problem raised. fuse 41? the one for my pmfgi keeps blowing. What could be the cause of this? i spliced the 2 wire plug onto a 14 gauge wire then to the yellow and blue wire. Would the 14 gauge be allowing more power in causing the fuse to blow?
