hey, I had read about this years ago...but cant remember where I saw it.

The set up is apparently a cam, shave head for more compression (dont remember how much)...but you have to run 91 or higher octane, then an intake from a D16 (I think), exhaust and CAI (again, I cannot remember)

The claims were really high mpg, and the guy posted dyno results that were very impressive...I think he was getting 125 atw hp, and damn near that in torque with a very flat curve

Now, my bone stock d15 is 200 miles old and leaking from every orifice possible...and just last week started a pretty fast leak from an unknown location as of yet from behind the motor.

so, I have been looking for more powah for quite some time, and am thinking it is time.

I could do an H22 swap (most appealing to me over a B due to the torque)...as driving my 09 civic si has made me realize torque can be really nice.

But, Your looking at 2000 for the complete changeoever kit from one of the jdm importers, then another grand at least in other stuff like a/c adaptor, etc...
I would think after everything, an H22 swap (nice low mileage engine) would cost upwards of 3k easy.

and then your mpg is probably around 30 mixed.

Whereas, the high compression d15 isnt going to be nearly as fast, but damn...I really like the idea of getting such high mpg's...and 125 atw's is plenty for me
