1992 honda civic dx overheating ..HELP
hey everyone how you doing. well yesterday my car started to drip water off the top of the radiator reservoir and i checked the radiator and it wasnt full anymore but my temp gauge never went up.. i wanted to know wat can it be... please help
The title says the car overheats but the first post says it doesn't.
A common location for a radiator leak is the top front seam. Is that where you are losing coolant?

You are not ready to fix anything yet because you are not sure what the problem is. There's a chance that the head gasket is blown, so do the test mentioned in post #12.
Also check for a defective (not opening) thermostat if there is no flow through the radiator when the car warms up. That could also explain coolant forced out throught the reservoir.
Other than that I'm tempted to say its more likely a blown headgasket forcing exhaust gasses into the cooling system (and coolant out). Get a block tester (NAPA) to test for exhaust gasses in the radiator. In order to properly use the tester you have to have the coolant level 1 inch below the radiator neck to make sure you only get air/gasses and not coolant to pass through the tester (it comes with detailed instructions).
