93 acura legend, hope i didnt kill it.....
Ok so i was neglecting my baby and hadnt paid attention to the coolant level. i ended up runnning it dry and realized it when it was beginning to steam. i had put water in the radiator, and then went to a gas station and put a bottle of coolant in it. now it seems to be burning coolant, and will stall when idling on a hill, and im wondering if its the head gasket, but the oil isnt miscolored or smelling weird......or the thermostat, but that wouldnt account for the burning coolant would it? and the exhaust fumes arent comin out all weird or anything....please help!!!
how hot did it get? what makes you think that it's burning coolant? i'm sure you're adding coolant...how much? any oil in your coolant?
Add coolant warm it up and watch the coolant gauge to see if it fluctuates. If you have a coolant bleeder that attaches to the rad instead of the cap you can add coolant watch it run and see if it bubbles if it does after the fans have kicked on you have a Headgasket or Cylinder head issue.
