Will an HX cvt auto trans fit into a auto lx?
Im trying to get a definitive answer....
will a honda civic HX (CVT transmisson) in Automatic replace a Honda civic LX automatic?
As far as I can tell--- as long as I get a HX ecu, I should be fine?
Do I need the HX ecu?
Wouldnt my MPG go up if I changed to the HX trans as well?

this is what I found.....
The P2M ecu for the CVT will not know how to operate with a normal automatic tranny. An ecu from an automatic dx/lx/ex will not be able to control the lean burn mode operation of the HX head.
Guess I want a LX/EX trans

Doesn't fit, besides the ECU issues the mounts are completely different too. Besides all that the HX CVT trannys were complete junk anyway.
Also match the transmission to the ECU, Y7 and Y8 trannys are different and wont shift right with the wrong ECU, they're throw code P0715 and shift a little funky.
