In respect for the other Shootouts held around the country, We chose not to put out any threads earlier in the year. As the last shootout style event comes to a close this week, we felt this was a good time to start our threads.
On behalf of Ktuned, Drag Cartel Industries, Javier Ortega, Roger Downes, the Ortega Global Solutions staff and all of the All Motor Racers, I would like to announce :

As you can see, KTUNED and DRAG CARTEL INDUSTRIES have both stepped up to not only sponsor our OGS Point Series, but our Shootout as well. This shootout promises to be bigger and better than ever. It will also mark the final race of our points series. We will have, not only a shootout champion crowned, but a points series champion.
With the addition of Ktuned and Drag Cartel we have extra money and prizes to be thrown into the pot.
$300 will be given to the #1 Qualifier and $100 will be given to the 2-8 Qualifiers.
More prizes to be named shortly.
We had 24 cars enter last year and the payouts looked like this:

That is $9550 in just CASH winnings.
There was another $3000 in cash and prizes given out for Bounties.
There is a $500 buy in to the race. Gauranteed $5000 to the winner if we have 16 cars.
$250 will be due by September 23rd. The remainding $250 will be due at the track - IN CASH. CASH ONLY
You may also send the entire $500 at any time, before Sept. 23rd, if it is easier for you.

If you paypal the money, you MUST pay the fees. Make sure that you pay the fees if not using paypal balance or bank account. You can also mail a check or give cash at any time.
The advanced deposit MUST be paid by Sept. 23rd. If you do not make the deadline and still wish to race at the shootout, there will be a $100 late penalty. You can bring $600 to the track on the day of the event and race in the shootout.
16 car field – Pro Ladder (1 vs 16, 2 vs, 15, etc.)
All Qualify up to 16 cars (i.e. if there are 10 cars, will run a 16 car ladder)
If there are more then 16 cars and you don't make the field, you get $250 back.
Please note, this is a gamblers Race. Payouts are based strictly on car counts. If 16 cars show up, payouts will stay the same, if more cars show up, payouts will increase and likewise if less cars show up, payouts will decrease.
Each participant will also have to buy a 2 day race tech card upon arrival $100. This includes the racer's tech card and (4) 2day crew passes.
3 Qualifiers on Saturday (2:00, 4:00. 6:00), Eliminations on Sunday (1st round 11:00)
If it rains on Saturday, there would be 2 qualifiers on Sunday followed by eliminations (less time in between rounds)
Roger Downes will be in charge of tech he will be paid $500 for his services out of the buy-in. Alison will handle the ladders, bounties etc, she will be paid $250 out of the buy-in.
OGS has graciously stepped up to pay for the displacement tool and fuel tester for this event. This means the price of these tools will NOT come out of out payouts.

Tempest Racing: $150 to the best reaction time in eliminations
Phenix industries is offering a $100 Gift Certificate for the Quickest ET in each Round (1st Rd, 1/4s, Semi and Final )
ASP Headers:
Highest MPH in Elims with an ASP Header: $100
Quickest ET in Elims with an ASP Header: $100
1st Quickest Qualifier with an ASP Header: ASP Scattershield
2nd Quickest Qualifier with an ASP Header: ASP Scattershield
Best 60ft in elims: ASP Diffuser
Best reaction time in qualifying: ASP Diffuser
Crazes: $100 for the quickest non K series car to make it to the Semi Finals (if none make it then goes to previous round)
OGS has put up an $800 bounty. Every racer who loses first round gets $100 ! ! !
Rules :
Please be advised of the rule changes for displacement limit, fuel testing and ground clearance. You will see them in BOLD.
We will be Using a PRO ladder. (ex. #1 vs. #16 , #2 vs. #15, etc )
All Motor Street -designed for full bodied, naturally aspirated 4 cyl. fwd cars.
Honda Displacement limit of 2700cc or 2.7L , excluding J series.
Minimum weights
Honda:
2200lbs - J series
2150lbs - K and F2K Series
2000lbs - H and H2B Series
1900lbs - B Series
VW:
Vr6 - 2150lbs
2.0 - 1900lbs
Nissan:
4cyl sr20 - 1900lbs

Class Requirements:
ENGINE:
Engine swaps (e.g.,B series with B series) permitted; however OEM mounting points must be utilized. Engine swap (e.g., B series to a K series) permitted provided engine swap kits are commercially available and approved in advance. Engine must be from same manufacturer as body. Engine must be overhead cam, production based design. Engine must be in stock, transverse configuration. Dry sump oil system or external oil pumps prohibited unless OEM equipped and engine is using complete OEM oiling system. External electric water pumps are allowed. No Vaccum pumps permitted, in any design or arrangement. DISPLACEMENT LIMIT OF 2700CCs or 2.7L for Hondas, excluding J series. There will be a Displacement tool on hand.
ENGINE CONTAINMENT DEVICE:
Engine diaper or catch pan device to capture oil and debris in event of engine failure mandatory. Where exhaust header passes directly under oil pan, two piece diaper may be utilized. FWD vehicles using OEM manual transmission case must also have such a device for the transmission, to capture oil and debris in event of transmission failure. if catch pan device is used, catch pan must employ minimum of 2 inch high lips on all sides. Lips must be coved or curved inward, so as to contain oil in pan. Catch pan must cover entire area below engine/transmission. In all cases, lips must be adequate enough to contain oil in the catch pan. Should a competitor spill excessive oil from the catch pan and debris onto the track, he or she may be disqualified from further competition at the sole and absolute discretion of the event director until catch pan is upgraded, regardless of height of pan lips or pan design.
EXHAUST:
No Muffler required. Open exhaust ok. Side/hood exit ok
FUEL:
Any race gasoline (E85, Q16, VP import, ETC.) permitted, E98 is NOT ALLOWED. We will be using an electronic ethanol content device to measure ethanol level. Fuel Cell allowed - but must meet all NHRA safety Rules. Methanol is not allowed. All competitors will be checked at least once and are subject to random inspection.
Fuel samples will now be taken directly from the fuel rail. If you have a fuel sample valve that is NOT attached to the rail, then we will NOT be taking fuel from it. We will have AN wrenches available to the techs or you can provide your own at the time of the test to remove any lines in order to give sample.
Accepted fuels must be readily available fuels, meaning they can be purchased by anyone. The fuels must not be modified in any way . You must use them the way they came from the fuel manufacturer. OGS will also be purchasing a new fuel tester to use alongside our ethanol tester, to help in these tests. You will be disqualified from the race if you are caught using a fuel that is not approved or it is altered in any way.
FLYWHEEL/ SCATTER SHIELD:
All cars using a clutch and running quicker than 11.49 or faster than 135mph must be equipped with a flywheel shield made of 1/4 inch minimum thickness steel plate. Shield must surround the bellhousing completely except for area of flywheel shield adjacent to differential and axle shaft. Shield may be multi piece with pieces bolted together using minimum 3/8 inch diameter Grade 5 or M10 class 8.8 bolts; may be attached to engine and or bell housing. in lieu of shield, a blanket meeting SFI spec 4.1 completely surrounding the bellhousing is permitted.
TRANSMISSION:
Automated, timer type, pneumatic, electric, electronic, hydraulic,etc. shifting mechanism prohibited; each individual shift must be a function of the driver and controlled manually. (Driver must pull the lever.) Transmission must be from same manufacturer as engine. Non OEM or aftermarket transmission prohibited. Adjustable PRO STOCK type clutches prohibited.
BRAKES:
Four wheel hydraulic brakes mandatory. Carbon fiber brake rotors prohibited. Staging brake allowed.
STEERING:
Must retain full, original, OEM steering gear.
SUSPENSION, FRONT:
Upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in the factory location. Adjustable caster/camber pillowball mounts are permitted. Lower control arm may be strengthened provided factory mounting points to the chassis are maintained. Lower mounting point for strut assembly may be modified for improved caster or camber. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars and limit straps are permitted. Traction bars/devices permitted; must be bolt on ONLY. Final decision rests with Technical Services.
SUSPENSION, REAR:
Must maintain original factory configuration. Aftermarket lower control arms, strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars and limit straps are permitted. Rear suspension must maintain minimum shock travel of 1 inch. All rear suspensions must use at least one working shock absorber per wheel. Suspension modifications limited to bolt on items only. ALL OEM suspension mounts/attachment points must be utilized. Spindle mount/ Solid axles prohibited.
WHEELIE BARS:
Prohibited.
CHASSIS:
OEM chassis, with complete OEM floorpan and firewall mandatory. Wheel tubs, backhalf conversions, tube chassis, etc. prohibited. Must retain FWD configuration; rear drive conversions prohibited. Engine must be located in OEM location for body used. Non OEM tubing in front of firewall prohibited except to tie shock towers to roll cage.
GROUND CLEARANCE:
Minimum 3 inches from front of car to 12 inches behind centerline of front axle, 2 inches for remainder of car. 3 inch ground clearance rule will be in effect. Your front end must have at least 3 inches of ground clearance so that it does not trip the beams. If the tech staff feels your car is too low, they may measure it and ask that you raise it if it does not pass.
WHEELBASE:
Must retain original wheelbase for body used, plus or minus 1 inch. Maximum wheelbase variation from left to right is 1 inch.
TIRES:
25 inch Tire Max
WHEELS:
Must be automotive type wheels suitable for street or racing use. Minimum wheel size 13 inches unless originally equipped with smaller wheels and vehicle is equipped with original engine. Wheel studs must be threaded into hex portion of lug nut a distance at leas equal to the diameter of the stud. Spindle mounts prohibited.
BODY:
Body must be on accepted bodies list. Pickups and SUVs prohibited.
Mild customizing and body kits permitted but must retain full bodied appearance with minimum 2 functional doors. Chopped roofs prohibited. Hood scoops or openings permitted. Doors must open and close from inside and outside. LEXAN IS ALLOWED. Windshield must be glass , but other wise Lexan is OK. NO RACE DOORS ALLOWED. Fully Gutted stock doors are OK.
Lightweight body panels limited to hood, fenders and deck lid. Aftermarket body kits permitted but full street legal appearance must be maintained. One peice aftermarket front end prohibited. JoJo/CFT/Exospeed 3 piece front ends allowed.
INTERIOR:
NO INTERIOR RULES- Does not matter if car is gutted, just meet weight requirements.
FIREWALL:
Complete OEM firewall mandatory. Mini tubbing prohibited
FLOOR:
OEM floorpan, front to rear, mandatory.
STREET EQUIPMENT:
Both taillights and at least 1 headlight mandatory.
WINDSHIELD/WINDOWS:
Glass windshield required. All other windows are allowed to have lexan.
Tow vehicles prohibited.
