in need of a 3 pc front
What's wrong with the Exospeed front ends? I have one and it took me a whole 45 minutes to fit. Have you tried one yet yourself? What's your complaint? Or did you here this from some hey dude... Instead of saying that there is an issue... Can you point out the issues?

thank you nonvtecallmotor
My Exospeed fit like crap. Where still working on it, the door keeps hitting it when we open it, so we have been palying with it to fit. Still not there....
you never owned one of ours?
This is good fitment?

If you get a fiberglass front end and don't have to spend atleast an hour on AVERAGE to make it fit right....you sir have been blessed by god. I have owned tons of fiberglass back in the day from the high end guys and middle of the road and all of them required edging and light sanding to make it "right"
Strada doesn't own the old JCR molds.

I wont get into this one... But that statement is false.
Like matt said, anything in fiberglass needs to be fitted. A fiberglass plug is pretty much only good for about 10 molds... Hence the reason why some parts fit just right and some dont. Heat will shrink every time you cycle it. I use to make doors for the crx & eg's. Had to pay for new plugs for every 10 sets I sold..

wow. you sir have no idea what you are talking about. lol 10 pcs get the **** outtta here. if it were that, then why even get into composites seems like youd spend more on you molds then the part itself
i have personally made fiberglass pieces for alot of people. for a long time. i will tell you i can make more then 150 pcs from the same mold or more. its all about handling the mold and the consistency of your part production weather, quality of the mold and environment is very important.
most companys take no consideration in this process, nor take care of the molds. a true quality part most dont even have the equipment for, heaters, autoclaves, vacums ect. all these kits you talk about here are all hand layed single maybe 2 master molds, made from off the shelf materials.
i know which fits and which ones have problems. it takes no time in making a plug, but it takes alot of prep time making a good one. carbon almost will and always fits better because of the detail that has to be taken into consideration. it will almost sit in the mold for twice its time and less catylst would be used for low heat. carbon it isnt all that expensive compared to high quality glass. glass is almost lighter in a hand layed fashion. its the process in which the care has to be taken for a piece to come out looking like a quality pos.
i have installed composite pieces for a long time. i can say that between the both, exospeed has the better molds, and takes his time to achieve the right consistency for each part. we crashed our car and used the same fender from another time and only replaced what we needed. the new bumper came and bolted in exactly in the same place as the other broken unit we had after the crash. that is consistency.
as for wait times, typically a quality unit should take a full day to cure, but 8 hours is about right. all about prep.

Most places today are all bout numbers.Hence the reason why most of the "Chop Suey" , "VIS" crap doesnt ever fit. They have outdone their plugs. So if someones kit fits great and someone elses doesnt. I just means that someone took better pride in their job that day.
Chilax a little
Yea, I dont think he owns them either. But said he does. But if he doesnt own them, then we would both know he must have ripped them off...
And as far as fitting fiberglass parts... Well duh. Ive worked in the paint and body industry for a few years.
But if youre trying to tell me that the front end he sent me pictures of fits well, you sir are blind.

[QUOTE=theidealone; you should get your facts strait ...like i have been saying those were production pics to make way for a good mold. fill and correct all necessary areas before making the mold..ctr owns all the molds..

I recently have stepped away from the partnership with strada, again a line of products i helped create thru the JCR product line which is now defunct. I had every right in the world to copy and modify that product line as Jojo left me with bad debts and the responsability to pay back many customers. I wish jay the best of luck with the product line and i will still continue to support and sell that product line as a dealer only as i still believe it is a superior product line.
ideal one if you want to keep getting into someone else buisness, make it your buisness to step out from behind that keyboard. you have said enough and stop beating a dead horse. if someone wants to says something come see me! i own the front end molds till someone tells me different! but Jay will continue to make the product and he payed for the molds to be made. thats the last im going to comment on this and i hope you leave it alone idealone. or i will ask a moderator to step in.
