Default remove head with or without intake manifold.

Is it easier to leave the intake in the car or remove it with the cylinder head?

You can take off the head without pulling the IM. Just unbolt it and push it back out of the way. You will need to take off some stuff 'though like the fuel rail and some hoses.

Maybe is depends on the year...I didn't have to touch the fuel rail or any fuel hoses, just unbolted the IM (the bottom nuts are kinda' tough to get at but not too bad) and pushed the IM back out of the way.

Its alot easier and less work if you leave it on. I leave the header on too. Just unbolt it from the downpipe. It takes me about 2 hours to do a head swap.
