i have a ef hatch with a b16 in it and the tranny was going bad so i pulled it all out and put in a new trans and now i have no spark and i have checked all my grounds and all my fuses and tried my dizzy on a friends car and it worked and i have power to the coil and i have tried a different ecu and nothing and i can not find a wiring diagram and i have a haynes manual so if anyone knows were i can find a wiring diagram that would be awesome or if you have any idea what this might be....thanks

So it wont crank at all??? I used to have the prob what I had my stock d15 tranny, did you check the slide ground that goes on the starter?? because if its remotely loose it wont start. also I'd check the ground by the thermostat and make sure that all of them have a good bare metal to ground wire connection. But it def. sounds like a ground to me

 

No It cranks over just fine I just have no spark

 

So the engine ran before you pulled the drive train to swap out the trans?
Sorry... your original post is kind of hard to read.

If it did run, then I would be suspicious of the thermostat grounds.
I know you said you checked all grounds, but.... check them again.
If you have an ohmeter now is the time to use it.

try the main relay older hondas are know for the relays to go out. I once did a head swap on a 90 crx si to a vtec head (mini me). when it was time to crank it wouldnt start. check for fuel and it was getting fuel. checked for spark, no spark. then i replaced the main relay with new, fired up first try.

 

alright and also before the trans was pulled sometimes if you were like at a stop light or somethin and killed it it wouldnt start for like 10 minutes then would just randomly start again and ill try a new main relay.... and sorry if my first posting was kinda hard to read

sounds like a main relay to me. my car did that once it would work then stop working and it wouldnt start again for a while. then it would start 20 minutes later. try the main relay.

 

alright i will try the main relay.... hopefully carquest has one in stock

 

try to open the relay casing first and re solder all those soldered points. it might work.
