Hey guys,

I'm new here.. i'm known by the name Brambo and i live in Holland.
Since i own a 1998 civic hb 1.4i S (d14a4 engine), i wanted to swap the head with a d16z6 vtec one.
But i had some problems that came along The swap is completed and it runs, but not perfectly!
The major problem is that it smokes like a oilboat.. However i had an mechanic looking at the swap but he doesnt seem to find the problem..
What i did so far:

changed the belts, changed the oil filter, 2 d16z6 cylinderheads but still the problem with the smoke! brand new oem headgaskets everytime we did a head change. Compression and leaktest but it was all good?!
Thats the strange part about it.. before the swap the bottomend was good, no smoke or whatsoever?!
Also the wiring is done proffesional, but the speedometer doesnt work?!
I've been messing with this swap since january and i really need to know the outcome of it
I hope somebody noticed this problem or gets a reminder and helping me out!
