Default shaking at high speed...

i noticed my steering wheel started to shake when I hit 70mph or faster, I am going to get four new tires because my front tires are worn pretty bad and do the balance and alignment....are these going to help???

you should definitely see an improvement if your current tires are not balanced

there are several causes for this...

1.)Tire Balance...many tires are only balanced to a certain speed. Ask to have them spun higher.

2.)Suspension (something loose)

3.)Loose steering rack.....I'm still going to look into this one and see about getting some R bushings or the like.

4.)...anyone else?

5.)oh yeah...stiff tires and a slightly bumpy road means you'll feel everything

It can also be an alignment problem.

Fuuma! what's up!

yes...it can also be alignment.

If you have a Helm manual there is a diagnosis section.....read that. It mentions tightening something as well...

Replace the tires first...if that doesn't take care of the problem, THEN you should start digging deeper - alignment, shocks, axles, etc.
