95 civic EX wont start after spark plug change
Hey fellas,
im no stranger to this site just decided to join when i ran out of options lol,i just changed the spark plus to the NGK and my car started, then i pressed the gas then it shut off and wont start again, i know their are a lot of threads on this subject i jus needed to hear for my self on my problem alone. It ran fine no problems before. I changed spark plug wires, cap, and ignition coil and it still wont start.i have spark(tested)i have fuel(sprayed form the filter),so im sooo lost,it has about 198k,i bought it 15k ago, owner took care of it (old lady)any help would be good, next step is compression test i guess but what do i need for that?or im i going backwards?i did spray brake cleaner to try to start it FAILED.

Basically, it started before with old plugs, now with new plugs no start?
Did you do one plug at a time and did not mess with the wires?
I would unplug the wires and look at the end of the wires to make sure the boot did not get inverted and not let the metal tip plug into the top of the plug itself.

thanks for the respond, i did them one plug at a time ,and i just checked the wires and they are good inside, like i said it started with the new plugs until i pressed the gas, maybe thatll help understand it more
Check ur wire firing order that is 99% of the reason also check the gap .044 did u buy copper or plat or iridium
they were plats and i believe the firing order is correct heres a photo, if it helps i sprayed brake cleaner in the throttle and it still didnt start
Make sure you got the right plugs, as for gap for the most part they are pre gapped and I can not imagine the gap would prevent starting, but maybe wrong plugs.

Turn the crank pulley counterclockwise until the cam pulley is perfectly positioned at TDC1. Then look down at the crank pulley to see whether it too is positioned at TDC1.
