93 civic wont start... no fuel??
OK I have been digging through so many of these threads/forums to help troubleshoot my issue.1993 civic D15 non vtech.. ok car did really want to start yesterday, but eventually did. went to start it this morning and no go.. It cranks like it want to turn but wont fire. I have checked all my fuses, grounds, and nothing, i replaced #24 fuse under dash and fuel pumped started to prime so went to start it and it tried but failed, continued this a few more time but pump did not kick on each time but no success either way yet.. Ugh
I need some help guys..!!

It did a couple times but did not start, went out this morning and it fired right up. I let it warm up turned it off. 10 min later went to start it nothin.. Fuel pump is not priming.
Hey! My Integra has (had) an identical problem. Hot starts were an issue due to the fuel pump not priming.
It was with the PGMFI Relay. Im not too sure about the civics but i'm sure its a near identical system.
Give the relay a good electrical test. Mine was acting under its own will.

More like $45 from Honda, but yes, sounds like the main relay. Try putting it in the freezer first or tapping it while you turn the key to ON. You should feel it click over if it is working.

Ok so I can't find any info. plz help. I can turn my 96 civic over and it fires but dosen't have fuel to the rail. I have checked all I know ie Changed silver box under drivers sd by the fuse box, checked all fuses, changed the relay as well checked all fuses under hood. hot wired the pump and it works. has power at the fuse box going to the pump but not at the pump, and the pump does Not prime wtf? can't figure this one out?
No power at all on the pump side....although if I direct wire the pump it turns on.? I must say this is nutz. if i was getting low voltage at the pump what would be your suggestion?
if you have power coming out of the fuse box for the pump but no power at the pump, i would think theres a break in your wire. do a continuity test on the wire between that connector and the fuse box
Clean the bundle of wires contacts at the thermostat housing. The main relay is grounded thru the ECU at this point. This may be the reason that the fuel pump doesn't prime.
This definatly sounds like a PGM-FI Main Relay issue, as mentioned check/redo the thermostat housing ground(s) if that does not resolve the problem, check the 3 fuses related to the PGM-FI Main Relay, if good fix or replace the PGM-FI Main Relay...

i've scoured the internet looking at threads similar to this one.. i have the same problem. but none of the threads ever have a complete answer.. they all just stop. short. with a couple wild suggestions... with no answers, no satisfied folks... is this just a problem that cant be fixed..
i have all the same symptoms, replaced numerous things.. i will say that she fires up when she wants to (but she has left me in the dirt face down on EVERY important occasion since i got the car).. BUT when its starts.. it RUNS GREAT! if you turn it off directly after running, and start again it turns over... but leave it for more than an hour and its a crap shoot to get it started again..
before me the car sat for approx 2yrs, i just bought the car a week ago, the "honda mech" and the friend who sold me the car checked the timing, did a full tuneup and head gasket (looks legit), since ive had the car we changed the fuel pump, the battery (interstate premium), resoldered, and tested main relay and wiring to thermostat housing, changed the ECU, worked out all the old gas from it sitting, put in full take of premium.
this morning all i heard was a whirrrring noise.. no catching or turning. im losing it.. i need to get to work, im running out of money, and time.

Clean the wire connection of the thick cable from the battery at the starter solenoid connection. After sitting a couple of years this connection gets corroded. You might also want to take off the starter and bench check the load on it. Could be a burn spot on the starter.
