97 Civic - speedo and charging problems

OK heres the deal i have a 97 civic with a 96 to 97 spec jdm type r swap in it. i have put about a 1000 miles on it and then the speedo quit workin which means no vtec i replaced the vss and that didnt work. and my alternator isnt charging and its brand new any ides thanks

well i checked the fuse and it was blown. so i replaced it and it blew three more times so i know i got other problems now but will this fix my charging issue to or just the speedo??????????????
