Default trans fluid on clutch causing slipping?

so i recently put a new transmission and clutch on my 94 vx and i believe i'm having clutch slipping problems.

a recent problem i fixed was that i never realized there wasn't a drivers side axle seal on the new trans i swapped in so i drove down the street and back only to find trans fluid everywhere. well the clutch cover shield isn't bolted down yet on the transmission side and lots of fluid i'm sure flew right up in there.

now i've driven about 100+ miles and i'm just not getting solid power and the clutch just isn't gripping like it should. how long would it take to burn off that oil? would that be causing my problem? after searching around i've come to that conclusion.

lol its just really annoying. one problem after another but i know i'll be so happy once its all fixed!

Default Re: trans fluid on clutch causing slipping?

did some more reading. looks like the clutch has been contaminated when it was covered and oil and will need to be replaced. FML. gonna look around for some more alternatives til then.
