i just installed a header and testpipe on my 99 gsr...when pluggin in the o2 sensors my friend accidentally plugged it in backwards at first...we started the car and it started fine but died as soon as i tried to drive it...we jacked it back up and noticed the plug was backwards and flipped it the right way but it still wont start anybody have any idea what i can do...any help is greatly appreciated

How in the hell do you plug an O2 sensor in backwards...I mean you can only screw the thing in one way

 

not the actual sensor...the sensor scews into the test pipe...but the wires clip together about 6 inches up so you can take the cat out without unscrewin the sensors....he accidentally cliped the wires back together backwards

 

This is kind of off subject but relevant, I am looking at redoing my entire exhaust (header, hi flow cat (probably will put in a replacment pipe and have no cat) catback and muffler. What am I to do about my O2 sensor? Anyone have any ideas?

uhmmm if you put it back the right way and it doesnt work.. then you screwed the sensor up.

 

you think just the lower half of the wiring that actually includes the sensor or the whole wiring?

 

try reseting the ecu.

 

i reset the ecu twice

 

even if i fried the sensor wound the car still start and just throw a cel?
