which rockford fosgate amp to go with?
A Power BD500.1 at 2ohm will rock those subs with around 600 clean watts.
just make sure to fuse the amp properly and keep it well ventilated.
Plus it has 24db butterworths built in

Im not a fan of fosgate or JL audio but if you only want 250watts to each sub just get the JL 500/1. If you want some serious wattage get a us amp, or a bmf 1000d would do those subs nicely and wire that bad boy to 1 ohm mono since you have dual 4s.

yea i want to keep it at 4 ohms but if i get the 500.2, its rated at 250W @ 2 ohms and 125W @ 4 ohms. Can i get it to 250W @ 4 ohms? or do i need to get a rf 500.4 and bridge it to make the 250W?
why would wiring to 1 ohm be a bad idea? I can see doin 4 ohm for sound qualit setups but when you compete most people never do 4 ohm either .5, 1 or 2ohm mono. Espeically when most high quality amps are low ohms.

What does sound quality have to do with it. I seriously doubt you will hear the difference in sound quality.
The reason people who compete wire their subs this way is to stay in a lower power class. But there are also running amps designed for this. Running this lower impedence will heat the amp up a lot Faster!!
You will not hear the difference but if you look at any sq setup its configured to 4 ohm. 4 ohm is less stress on the amp. Also the whole running at 1 ohm to be in a lower power class, that really isent right because rules have changed. In dbdrags it has nothing to do with amount of power. Ive ran us amps, ppi, crossifre, earthquake, and have always ran them at 1 ohm mono or 2 ohm and never had a problem as long as you have the right voltage.

then your subs will have 250w rms each (125 per voice coil).
