I installed a used transmission. Transmission is in great condition no problems at all. After the installation everything was working fine until i tried the 3 bottom gears towards me which is 2nd,4th and Reverse.

All the top gears 1st,3rd, and 5th and in good working order, they will go into gear smoothly and it will drive normal no noises no grinds etc..

However the 3 bottom gears will give me a hard time when trying to put in gear like something is blocking. I looked under and nothing is in the way of the shifter/linkage. 1 out of 10, i can barely get it into any of those gears but aggressively not smooth at all and it wont take long for them to pop out unless i hold on to the shifter..
like i said trans is known to be in great condition bought it from my buddy he had no issues.
Fluid is leveled. I know its nothing internally.

-its a D series hydro trans in 99 civic.

issue figured. It was a bent shift fork rod.

 

Sorry I don't check into HT daily, but that is what I was gonna suggest.
