That wouldn't be a very honest thing to do to the potential buyer, would it?
It would be difficult, but could probably be done if the color was perfect and you are good at buffing.

it would depend on weather or not i inform the person that plans to buy it, i just dont want to put $500 into a car im selling for around 2000 that already has money in the headgasket and water pump and timing belt and tokico blue struts and viper alarm and tinted windows and rims and header back exhaust
there is an old thread about people doing rattle cans and roll ons and some of them came out better then OEM.....but the majority looked bad.
you can do it, it will just take many many thin coats and sanding..

to spray paint your car, you need about 15 cans total. very light coats. and alot of coats too. the thing with spray paint is that 1/2 the paint goes in the air and the other 1/2 may land on the car. its just not worth it. if you want a factory look, try the roller paint job. Ive seen great jobs done with rustoleum, mineral spirits, and a 4 inch roller. looks way better than spray paint and it actually lasts
Yes. I have done the minor 1/4 rust on my Integra and repainted a newer JDM front bumper with paint from PaintScratch.com. They will mix any OEM color into a rattle can. 3 coats base, 3 coats clear, wet-sand, buff, and polish.

rustoleum professional enamel get one gallon and a gallon of paint thinner a compressor and a hvlp gun and paint the whole car...thin the paint to 2 parts paint to one part thinner stir and spray...doing mine this weekend itll cost about $100 for the paint and tape (use newspaper to tape it off) and youll have a freshly painted car...also many people wanted to know if you can spray an automotive clear coat over it, the answer is yes. Give the paint 24-36 hrs of dry time...wet sand and spray clear coat...otherwise just wetsand and buff the **** outtta the paint it looks awesome

Nice although he doesent have specific detail on how long to wait between coats or what grit sand paper to use after the paint before the clear
really dont have to wait that long, around 15 minutes inbetween coats. you want spray paint tacky when you lay another coat on top. and for grit, probably anywhere from 800-1000 wet sand paper
Find out what your paint is and buy it from paint mixers and they sell it in spray cans shouldnt cost to much, get professional gloss protection coating too and it will look just like factory shouldnt cost more then 80$
WOW!! $25 for one can of paint, $12 for one of primer, and $12 for one of clearcoat. How many cans of each would be required to do a hood on a Sol? When you factor in the cost of shipping and other supplies, I might as well let a professional do it.
