lowering springs on ej6
i wanna drop my ej6 a good height.and a comfortable ride. i wass looking at some skunk 2 springs(2.5 in the front and 2.25 in the back) or tien s tech(1.9 in the front and 1.7 in the back).dont want coilovers.i live in nyc and i was wondering with those skunk 2's will i scrape alot cuz the roads arent that good. any and all advice wood b worth it.
the skunk 2 will have you scraping everywhere if the roads are bad as you say.
If you want some springs to lower stance, but not so aggressive, you become a human snow plow, you could look into Tien S-Tech springs.
They are cheaper than Skunk 2, and won't completely dump your car to the floor. You should always change your shocks with springs, but IN CASE you don't, the Stechs will not blow them as fast as a lower spring. Though, they might not be as low as you particularly want, check into them.
If you are still undecided, you should look into getting some Form and Functions(F2). Yes, it's a coilover kit, but it is THE BEST for the price, and fully adjustable to suit your driving conditions. You can probably pick some up for about 5-600 bucks. Very good investment.

don't you dare put lowering springs on stock shocks. they will blow in a matter of months.
and please don't tell people to do that. you seem to know better.
you will have to change shocks as well.
GC/koni. don't bother with anything else.

You are right, you should never advise people not to run springs without shocks, but if you are going to anyway, better get Stechs rather than Goldlines or something that will kill them super quick.
