Carbon Fiber Hood Restoration
Any of you know any shops in SoCal who do CF hood restoration? I'm 16 and doing it myself sounds like too much trouble. The hood is sanded down and it has no scratches, it just looks all fogged up. Any help will be appreciated.
hey from what you've said it sounds like it will have to be recleared because i dont know how much you actually sanded down of the hood and the grit in which it was done.
that being said take it to a local body shop and get them to sand and reclear the hood for you.
with body work suck and full painting of panels if you dont know what your doing its better off not to do a half **** job and butcher a perfectly good hood and let someone with experience make it look good.

Just automotive clear works well, but I've heard marine/boat clear works a lot better as well. It might be more expensive, but I'm not sure. Call a couple body shops around your area and get some quotes.
