A better idea than what? What is the car going to be used for? Are you looking for a certain drop or handling characteristics? Pretty vague question.

Neither is better than the other.

What are you considering? Use for the car? Budget?

Thats kind of true, however, I use the f2 coilovers on my dd, and it's great.

Adjustable coilovers>Springs+ shocks anyday IMO. You can change the ride hieght at will as opposed to springs. If you get tired of your ride height, you gotta get new springs, with coilovers, lift her up, take the tires off, adjust, and be on your way.

Why is it not an advantage to change your height when you feel like it? Maybe 6 months down the road you're unhappy with the ride height. Instead of going through the pain in the *** of renting a spring compressor and removing your suspension, all you have to do is bust out your spanner wrench.

And why are springs bad for the track? As long as the height is good and the rates are appropriate.

Been daily driving my coilovers for 8 months almost, I wouldn't have springs if someone gave them to me.

There are definitely good options in both forms. It really depends what you want out of your car. More details?

Coilover for sure. It's an advantage either for street and/or track use.

How so? Springs will NEVER lower a car the right height at all four corners. Coilovers allow you to make minor adjustments to get the car properly situated. For example, mine is precisely the same height at all four corners with me in the driver's seat. You can't do that with springs.
