which one is better to boost?
H22 , F22 , F23 in both stock form and built with sleves pistons and rods.
Reason I ask is because I have a 00 lude with a h22 and want boosted power, I wantd to buy a F23 block with a my H22 head. Rebuilt bottom end and may port n polish and turb and tune for the time being.
Later on overside pistons, sleves rods ect. End result I would want to be around 450hp to the wheels reliable as a daily driver.
Someone said turbo the h22 but I think it would be better to build the "G23" boosted.
Input?

It all depends on what you want to do. I'd personally pick up a F22 ($300) and build it up. If anything happens to that F22, you can pop in your old h22 & be up and running. There is a F22 build on here using H22 rods, DSM pistons, etc...that might help you out in that direction. Power, cost, R/S ratio, and you have your stock block around for downtime/upgrades.
Just my .02

wellll considering some of the research i have done....im considering a f23 block mated to a h23 or h22 head....turbo'd and tuned stock oem as is with a rebuiltd f23 block.....save money save money save money..... pistons rods sleves.....add more boost.....and have the h22 block or whole longblock in my garage or something....
my goal is to make my prelude faster and if i could do it from a frankenstein motor that will hold up better then a oem h22 then im all for it! casue like you said if it blows up i can buy another for the low....
long term goals.....push close to if no more then 450whp.....obviously built motor...but im totally with that.....again...long term....
feed me info...

Any reason why you are so stuck on doing the "G23" route? It has been done, as well has G22's, but why not just keep it SOHC? Theres nothing wrong with SOHC F's especially if its the F22A. Not to mention the SOHC are a lot simpler to work with
Just build an F series and build it right. And keep the h22 mint as a back up motor. H22's are worth a lot more so incase something goes horribly wrong with the F, you could throw in the H22 or sell it.
