Welp had a lot of fun on July 9th and 10th at Thunderhill. My arms were killing me after the 1st day, but moving the seat a bit closer to the wheel definitely helps.
First off, here is the video of my fastest lap of the weekend. Still pretty slow, but I'm progressing. First time on Hankook RS3's and man do they grip! As close to an Rcomp as you will get out of a street tire guaranteed. Would love to have more feedback from them and some stiffer sidewalls, but still a great tire.

Got picked on by Corvette's all day, but it's okay I pick on them when I drive the other car
BTW passing a 2012 GTR in a 10 year old Honda with a stock motor is PRICELESS!
Finally got time to sort through the pics...as always courtesy of Dito@GotBlueMilk Photography! Also a big thank you to GST Motorsports, Speed Element, NCRC and my instructor for the session Andrew!

Awesome! If you don't mind me asking, what suspension combo are you running, and with what degree of camber? I had a hell of a time finding a neutral-enough setup going from gravel to pavement.

I see you are hooking your thumbs around the steering wheel...
I've been told that it's not the most ideal way to hold the steering wheel (and I've learned from experience: hook your thumbs, go through a turn, and hit a bad bump/pothole that unsettles the car and see if you do that ever again
)
Still not comfortable with heel-toe yet I see?

Yah the other car is the evo. I pick on everything in that car
Too easy.
I am running some old Omnipower Coilovers 12K front 10Krear. Stock sway bars, camber arms in the rear and stock everything else. I am switching to Koni SPSS3 soon with custom rates and adding some Hard Race goodies.
The suspension setup I am running is far from ideal. I am barely running any camber, so the shoulder wear on my RS3's is pretty bad for only doing one event. I need to be running about 3 degrees up front and 2 or so in the rear. Currently it's at about 1.7 up front and 1.3 in the rear just from the car being lower than stock.
And yes unfortunately the steering wheel I have on there has spokes where I would normally grip with my whole hand so it's awkward to grab it lower. Thumb hooking is a bad habit. Definitely not comfortable with heel toe on track. My ankle just doesn't want to turn that way, but moving the seat closer definitely helps. I wanted to work on the line mainly with the instructor in the car.

nice car ! if u sit in the correct position it makes a world of difference... good luck have fun be safe ! u dont need to be swaggin at the track lmfao !
I wasn't too comfortable heel-toe'ing on track either until this past EXPO where the braking zones were long enough to give me enough time to position my feet properly. If you can do it on the street, the only difference on track would be how much to blip because you let the engine wind to 8000. Just keep practicing and it becomes second nature.

Haha well the evo got some love back in May when I went off at 85mph and tore the lip off and fubared my alignment. I'm on average 6 seconds faster in the evo, but that's with three times the power and 1000 more lbs.
Nope sorry no build thread from me because my car has been pretty much the same the past 7 or 8 years. It's pretty stock-ish. I/H/E, cheap coilovers, rollbar and some dieting.
I need to get my safety equipment up to par, then I can work on suspension for both of the cars. After that I'm considering getting a truck and trailor and putting a full Nasa-spec cage in the integra.

Well I couldn't see **** out of them, so it was kinda sketchy. I actually found a way to shim them so that I can see out of the car, so I am going to play around with em.
What don't you like about the omni power coilovers? I use them and other than to go to something extremely stiff 16k+ they do the job just fine for what they are. Gorgeous car btw! Looks like a fun track.

Yah the Omnis are okay for what they are. But the dampening on them could obviously be better and more droop travel would be nice as well. I find myself two or three wheeling into driveways. They are okay for a budget street coilover.
