ITR rear sway bar question...
Well, I have my bar in the mail... i just had a question about the spot welded nut. Is it on the inside or outside of the subframe... bahh i dont know... here is a pic... is the nut on 1, or 2. Thanks guys
neither. its right on top of #1
There's lots of posts on here regarding the install...just search and you'll find more info
OK, you cant see it in that picture, correct? It is behind the subframe which means its gonna be a bitch to get at. In Brets instructions it says nothing about taking off LCA's. Is the nut holding anything on? Grrr.. im confused.
when i got the welded nuts off of my car i didn't have to take the LCA's off. i just threaded the bolt back into the nut some a hit it a few times w/a big hammer. once i saw a corner of the nut that had broke free, i used a long flat head screwdriver to use as a chisel. i put the screwdriver head right under where the corner was broke free and hit the screwdriver once and it poped right off.
ITR rear and Azenis must be the most talked about subjects.
Do a search for "itr rear sway" "itr bar" "bsq" and you'll have all the info you need.
You could also crawl up under your car and look around to see where the spot welded nut may be located.

aight.. i just went under the car.. there are 3 nuts i can see on the inside of the subframe. 2 little ones...(abs bracket i think), and 1 large one. the large one is the one i gotta knock off, right?
its weird .. i didnt have to knock off any bolts .. sure a few of them required a couple of hard kicks on the ratchet to get off (endlink bolts) but .. well ive done the install and i still don't know which bolt was the spot-welded one.

yes, i know. It looks to me as if (1), (2), and the nut you guys are referring to ALL have spot welded nuts on them. My question is which one is necessary to knock off?
Is it just me or is everyone on this thread completely lost?
If you're using the BSQ kit, remove the tack-welded nut under the bolt you labeled "1."
