88 CRX upgrade...
Hey all, I bought a 88 crx shell and am working on it little by little. First thing I'm doing is suspension and brakes. WHat is the best settup I can go with that is relatively good priced?
Is there any sites people have put up documenting their brake upgrades?(like rear disk stc..)
Thanks,
Ryan

Are you sticking with the '88 suspension, or upgrading to the rear disc setup? Upgrading also gives you more parts support; it's kind of hard to find rear suspension goodies for an '88 (trust me, I know)
Oh, BTW, I use KVR cross-drilled rotors, KVR carbon-fibre pads and ATE Super Blue fluid... the pedal is much harder than my brother's stock setup (before he wrecked the car
).

I am definately wanting to upgrade to rear disk, thats what I was mainly asking. Any sites that show this? Also, I hear the 88 LCA is somewhat like the Type-r. Can I put type-r suspension on this car? Thanks, Ryan
If you want to use the Koni yellows that are adjustable while ON the car you need to swap to the 90+ LCA's and get the 90+ Konis (part 8041-1153 Sport).
The adjustable Koni's that are available for the 88 model are adjustable but need to be removed to be adjusted.
I think partz.com had the best price on the LCA's, $120.

I have a 91 Si that I wrecked
and just bought a 88 DX to swap everything over from the Si. The rear suspension is a piece of cake. It took about 2 hours total time to do it. Find a wrecked Si and get the rear suspension and do that for the swap. As for breaking power and a B16, it would be a good idea to upgrade the front brakes to compensate for the extra weight in the front.
