digikey replacement map sensor
I've been looking my butt off and can't find the topic or thread I had seen before.
It was concerning replacement part for MAP sensor from digikey.
Anyone seen it before? done it before?
my MAP sensor p/n: TN079800-2550 5V PS-20
digikey p/n: MPX4250AP-ND mfg p/n: MPX4250AP SENSOR ABS PRESS 36.3 PSI MAX
The two parts are very different in size and appearance. Original does not look as if it can be partially taken apart to remove/replace with digikey part, and the electrical connector on the sensor doesn't look that easy to remove either.
In addition, this digikey part has six pins, not sure if I do take the harness off that the three wires connect to a six pin connector.

Why not just buy the correct item?

I think you're asking for issues by trying to install a completely different sensor on your vehicle and am not sure how you came to that conclusion.

Well... like I said, there was a thread that I can not find anymore.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have known to get the part.
I understand what you mean. But the cost was insignificant by far, so if it doesn't work out it's not a big deal (which is the way it is looking at the moment)
Damn procrastination!
