90 CRX. How many ounces R12 or Freeze 12 would i need to buy to charge the system after the system has been emptied and evacuated? Thanks

 

1.98lbs. Not sure how many containers that would be.

 

actually you should be using less. but 2 cans is 1.5 lbs so its fine.

my original R12 was low, very slow leak, so not completely gone and I filled it with 4oz of oil and two 12oz cans of Freeze-12. i think i might have over charged it, i dunno, i had some other issues with the condensor fins blocking the radiator so it was overheating but i fixed that. but i still kinda let some pressure out of the system, for a few seconds, just in case.

 

hmm 2oz of oil seems low..

 

yet theres no reason to think all the oil was gone either. i didnt evacuate the system.

oh yeah, it looks like it was a 4oz can of oil, not 2. heh.
