1999 EX-V6 Accord Coupe Alarm Problems
A few months ago, during some severe rainstorms, a branch blew out of a nearby tree and caused my car alarm to go off. Since that night, when locking my car with the remote the beep on the second press stopped working.
Two weeks ago I took my car to a mechanic to get some work done on the brakes and since then, the beep has returned when locking the car. However, my alarm now randomly sounds for no apparent reason. This can happen multiple times per day (including 5 times in the past 6 hours today) and it does not seem to matter if I lock it with one press of the key or two.
Someone has told me that I should pull a fuse for the alarm, but I do not know a) where the fuse box is located, b) which fuse I would need to pull, and c) whether that is even what I need to do. I know next to nothing about electrical problems with cars, so I am hoping that someone here may be able to shine some light on this situation (for my sake and the neighbors').

Did the branch happen to land on the hood...I ask as i have read quite a few threads where the "switch" on the hood release turns out to be bad........
