PFC Hatch 2011 t/s build thread... 2 builds for 2011
Well we finished the new build the beginning of May and it broke at the end of May, the weekend after the vegas IFO. We had standard wristpins and one let go on the dyno
. So new pistons, new rods and a new block it is. Hoping to have all the motor parts this week so we can start putting it back together. It'll be aluminum rods and RS machine pistons with upgraded wristpins and RS machine 83mm block. List of new parts already on the car:
-PTE T4 billet bb 6765 w/ 1.32 a/r housing
-garrett 24x12x3.5" core with custom made backdoor endtanks by us, welded by Pfab
-custom Pfab top mount T4, twin 44mm tial gates
-skunk2 74mm throttle body
-Victor X i/m ported for the t/b
-ctr cams
-libertys billet case and dog box gears
-exospeed 3 piece front
-M&H 24.5x9.5 tires
-M&W pro 10 ignition
The car made 851.9 uncorrected in vegas on 40psi on a dynapack @ church's shop with church behind the computer. It made 743 uncorrected in Denver on a DynoJet on 35psi with team Mo behind the computer. Looking forward to getting the motor back together and turning the boost up.
In Denver on May 10th (first time to the track) we had a problem with gear based timing that we didnt figure out until after the tack. It was at like -27 degrees or somethin stupid in 4th gear so everytime i would shift to 4th it would fall on its face. On low boost we still pulled our best 1/8th with a 6.24 @ 122. 1st gear was 16psi, 2nd was 24psi, and 3rd was 30psi. We just wanted to make sure it would go through the gears before we made the drive to Vegas.
Anyways, got to vegas May 15th (second time the the track) and made the 1st qualifying pass and went 9.58 @ 153 with waaaay too much in 1st and 2nd, spun horribly and the 1/8 was a 6.36 @ 121 with a 1.60 60'. I guess thats what happens when you party too much and have basically no sleep. We were in such a rush we forgot to check the co2 before we left colorado/ got to the track in Vegas so that ended our day after the 2nd qualifying pass. Still excited we qualified #7 out of 52 cars and ran a pb though. Anyways, here are some pictures in no particular order of the build and of the car at the track. We will update this thread with new pics of the new build and update the times when they start getting knocked down!

thanks clint and dinosaur guys for the sick domo sticker!

what was the breakdown on the 9.5@153 pass? you said you had too much in it on that pass down low...what were the psi levels on that pass?
P.S. we Barely had any sleep cause it was Vegas so we messed up the boost tables haha
Very nice build . I'm going to be nervous about my wrist pins now. How do you like that 1.32 a/r housing on the 6765? I'm wanting to upgrade from my current t3 .82 to either a 1.15 or 1.32 a/r.
I was hoping for u guys to continue fighting to get that record for 9's on that stock sleeve setup ya had.. But eventually it gets old trying to lol.. Good luck on the new build.. Always loved your guys videos
Thanks again guys!
Yeah were planning on making it to Tulsa, Kansas City and of course Vegas again! You guys planning on making it to any of those?
Thanks, i noticed you had the same ones. Lovin the new color of your car and cant wait to see it run! You think it will be done for KC?
I would almost recommend just getting new pistons if your worried... we lost the block, crank, head, a whole bunch of valves and the rods lol. About the housing, unforutunately we changed so many things i cant say how much the 1.32 a/r housing helped but it i know it helps! I would say get it!
Thanks man, with everything we know now and the setup we have i bet you we could go 9's on stock sleeves
Thanks buddy! Should be running in a week or two and we will get some good video of it knockin down some times and some dyno video and we'll email it to ya. Dont get too hot out in that desert and stay safe buddy

but in Vegas Clints car started pushing water after the first pass so he tore it down to replace the head gasket and went ahead and tore it down to freshen it up and found out the wrist pins were about to come out the bottom of the pistons
so its down right now in the process of being rebuilt so hopefully it will be ready
Thanks I appreciate it! Yes I plan on being done and on the dyno in a month or less. Im going to hit up some local events or T&T hopefully and then tulsa and kc... hope all hoes well... I will be seeing you in tulsa sir, we will be at the hard rock so come on up.
planning to make at least Tulsa, Bay town, Ennis and San Antonio
