what kind of gas to use and ecu ques?
what kind of gas do 4th (vtec) gen luders use??? i have 89 or 91 or 93 around my area. And also would a stock stock type r ecu do anything for my car. besides the vtec engagement founf one for sale just curious??? thanks
I usually put 89 octane in my, but sometime I'll put 93....The ecu for a type r wouldn't do anything special for the prelude. I don't even know if it would even start up the car...
i'm not sure what 5th gen fuel requirements are, but i know my 4th gen srv calls for premium unleaded fuel which means 91/92 octane ( or better). thus i wouldn't put less than 91 **** water in my tank.

Prelude VTECs all years require 91 and up octane or your ecu will be retarding your timing to compensate, (man your car's performance must blow on 89).
And a stock type-R ECU would plug in if it was the same generation of OBD, but would likely run lean. http://www.importreview.com has a dyno of a GS-R ECU on the H22a...more power but lean.
