OBD1 vs OBD2 for a swap in a OBD1 del sol
I'm about to pull the trigger on a GSR swap for my 93 del sol and wanted to know the pros/cons of getting the OBD2 GSR vs just sticking with a OBD1 GSR.
Thanks!
Thanks!
what year is the del sol you are putting the swap into?
its better to put obd1 in a car thats obd1 and vise versa.. and if you wanna get the ecu chipped if remember correctly you cannot chip and obd2 ecu so there is a pro for obd1 and a con for obd1 right there.. if you wanna get an obd2 engine you can do that and just get a jumper harness to an obd1 ecu..

If you go with an OBD2 motor you're going to have to deal with OBD2 specific plugs on the alternator, injectors, and distributor. Don't even try to run an OBD2 ECU unless you like headaches. I see you're in Apex, I'm in Charlotte so you won't have to worry about the engine unless you don't have a cat on the car.
