Default b16 swap radiator/cooling questions

i have swapped a b16a2 into my 1991 std hatch.
i have a couple of questions and ideas of what i want for cooling.

I removed the stock radiator because my AC compressor gouged a nice groove into it, and it wouldnt hold coolant.

i obtained a 91 DA radiator from the guy i bought my swap from.

The radiators are the same height, but the only difference is the DA radiator is a little bit longer than stock one. No biggie, since it still bolts up using the mounting brackets.

i know i will probably have to order a slim fan, but i am thinking about ordering a new radiator anyways.

i have narrowed it down to TWO choices.
Mishimoto, or Fluidyne

Fluidyne offers a 88-91 crx/civic half rad. that uses the stock lower support locations, but you have to relocate your brackets. and Mishimoto offers a 2core replacement.

What is the best bang for the buck?

If the engine is stock I would just use the DA radiator and not bother with spending money on an aluminum.

the only mods on the b16 are adj. trutime cam gears lol. but i like the "stock" look of the DA radiator.

but whenever i originally pulled the D15b1 out of my car, i jacked the front end up from the radiator support, so now i have to get under the car and pull the support down just a bit.

what slim fan could i use as well?
i have heard of flex-a-lite, but i dont know what application to buy?

Thats the one I have, its kinda overkill for for a street car imo.

Zirgo and Blox sell some other fans that are a little cheaper than the FAL fans. You might want to look into them.

ah ok thanks for the info.

now i may be running a traction bar/ competition bar to replace my stock crossmember and be able to run the type of header i have.

will the 1/2 RAD. work or do you think it looks stupid.

for now i have my stock exhuast mani, and the DA radiator. can i only use one fan for cooling?

if you use the traction bar go with full race and use their radiator its a nice clean no bullsh*t setup

you can use the 92-95 radiator but you have to install it at an angle or relocate the mounts and if you're lowered expect to rip the bottom tank off of the radiator...besides there radiator is just as much as mishimoto or fluidyne

i have the innovative competition bar and sits high and tight...about the same as the full race. and i'm using a DA radiator, more so out of necessity than want, but why not just get a stock radiator? i see no reason for you to have any cooling issues

tight with DA dual core radiator

running 2 fans as pushers...one zirgo and one generic
