i have read a few threads where the civic/integra guys changed the contact points on there starters using toyota parts.


are there any accord starter rebuild threads?

i am in the middle of converting my accord from auto to 5 spd. come to find out my 5 spd starter only click. i check all my ground and cleaned the positive terminal post. i even too kthe starter out an bench tested it and only got clicks. the guy who i got the parts car from couldent get it started, maybe it was just the starter, lol.

i got a commercial parts account with toyota, ill call my guy to see who much he can get me the points for. i just dont want to buy them if it dosent work with accord starters.

maybe i can try taking the point out of my automatic starter.

 

i swear everythime i start a thread the next thread i look at has the answer. i searched for this for like a week, lol. anyways, not a full rebuild, but may answer some questions
