I want to install a 1999 Si CD Player. But I don't have the harness from the 1999 Si (Grey Plug) Where can I get it from ?

you can usualy buy the male harness or at least order it from most stereo shops...otherwise you could probably order it from the dealer but it would cost more im sure.

 

Yeah, That's what I thought. I think I will call some local audio shops.

Best Buy carries reverse harnesses. Go to the install bays.

 

Most local shop sell them for 18.00$. Personally, I think it's expensive. Is it a good price ?

 

I have a 2001 ITR cd player in my EG and i had to buy a harness from the dealer. I believe it was $18 or something around there.

 

Also go to a junkyard and have them cut one off any 99/00 civic.

 

yea, ive got a 99 si cd player in my 93 hatch. stereo shops have both sides of the harness you need., the only prob is on the 99's there is an illumination wire and a dimmer wire. on the 93 there is only illumination. on the under dash fuse box there is an open plug that give power when you turn your lights on, run a wire from that to the dimmer wire,so you have lights at night on the cd player

 

Heres what I did to install a 99-00 Si cd player in my 93 Civic DX. Went to Honda, bought a wire harness for a 99-00 Civic Si stereo. Paid the nice guy $30 bucks. Went home, cut my old one out, spliced the new one in...Tested all the wires to make sure they were hooked up right, and slid the cd player into place. There really isn't a provision for it to bolt into really, so I used a zip tie creatively. It looks 100% stock, and has never budged an inch. (Unlinke some other guys on this board...aka Jaeone)
