d15b engine harness?
so put my car in the shop because it was acting up really bad and having a bunch of problems and the guy told me i def. need rings and bearings and because when i push my clutch in the idle drops or car dies that my crank shaft is bad as well. he said i would come out cheaper to just get a replacement motor so i found this one........http://http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.c...ls.php?id=1600
i'm having a problem finding the correct engine harness for it and what ecu i should use? and i must add the car has a d16y7 in it now so if i can use that harness that would be great. any info would help. thanks

Don't buy from Tiger Japanese. They seem to have a poor satisfaction rate. Except for a couple of things the engine is drop in. You should be able to use the existing harness. We bought a similar JDM D15B swap and had a guy drop it in for $500. Same ECU. Same harness.

The only thing I can remember is that JDM engines don't come with a crank position sensor so you'll have to bypass it or move all that over from the old engine. Aside from that it was a drop in replacement. I think there's at least one unused plug that I can see but that doesn't affect anything. You should maybe go with a vendor like HMO.
We bought the engine from http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/ because the wife did not want to spend the extra for my piece of mind. It got here looking pretty near brand new. So far so good. No issues.
Whomever you buy the engine from, call and ask many questions. If they sound like they don't care, can't be bothered, or don't know what they are talking about, hang up and buy from somewhere else.
