d16z6 re-swap

Default d16z6 re-swap

so i got a 92 EG hatch that someone did a d16z6 swap into it had a p72 GSR ECU that i replaced with a p28 and the motor is running kinda bad like in 5th it bogs like it has no power just replaced the fuel pump and redid the timing and after that it wouldn't start i had to have the dizzy 180 degrees off to start any suggestions to make the SOB run right thanks,

do you know the condition of the motor? Have you checked the injectors? It could be multiple different things. Is the ECU chipped

the ecu is not chipped and the motor is good the car had a p72 in it when i bought it i since then got the p28 in the injectors are fine i also just got a new dizzy in case it was the wrong one i haven't tried it yet the only other thing im thinking is if it has the wrong 02 sensor in it

last i new the dizzy was offset to prevent installing it 180 backwords. How did it run with the gsr computer in it? was it wired for this unit instead?

thats true

you should check all the engine grounds it could be something simple

and its knot the o2, obd1 hondas can run without an o2

OK, yea I was dumb founded looking at the dizzy, one ground was lose but I tightened it and it ran some what OK with the GSR ecu just sat at 1700 RPM's when idle it was a dumb *** who put the motor in so now I'm fixing it all just is getting irritating I'm about to seconds away from pulling the motor selling it and investing to a GSR motor. but again thank you all for the input i'll let you know with the new dizzy and the last thing I'm gonna look into is the wiring harnes make sure it's the right one and not one from the d15 that used to be in it.
