Seems ok..but no way to tell if the trans is any good without cracking it open and having a look. A legit seller would not have a problem with letting perspective buyers inspect internals first. Would inspect first before shelling out the cash. Good luck

Take a look at the synchronizer block rings too see if the teeth are worn (also take a look at their counterpart on the gear itself). The blocking rings are usually the first to go since they're made of brass. So if they're in good condition and the dog teeth on the gears are also in good condition, you can be fairly safe to assume the teeth on the sleeves are still intact. While you're at it, check for excessive metal shavings on the transmission magnet.

Another good thing to check is the mainshaft 3rd gear tooth count to make sure it is really a GSR. LS=26 teeth, GSR=25 teeth, B16/ITR= 24 teeth.

look at the magnet and the oil if you open it. alot of brass in the oil means there might be an issue with the synchros, if there is alot of debris on the magnet then that might also be an issue. if there are obvious big chunks of metal on the magnet, then stay away from that transmission.
