I can't get my car to shift out of park most of the time. I have to pump the brakes 100 times before the brake lights even turn on and I can get it to shift. And when I do hit the brakes it makes a Squeaky noice.

I just had my calipers redone and all my pads, etc.. replaced. My brakes have been working fine, then this is happening all of a sudden.

Anyone have any suggestions?

 

sounds like they forgot to bleed the brakes properly after the servicing. How did you get the car home?

 

I got my brakes done back in April and everything has been working fine, until the last few days. If I pump the brakes enough finally the brake light will engage and I can take my car out of park. It's becoming a hassle though.

 

maybe it's the sensor on the brake pedal, maybe it's just loose. just look up you will see it.it's like $45 at the dealer

last time my feet hit it and it broke lol plus it's not safe to drive around like that sometime your brake light don't work when you're driving.

 

go to a dealer!!!
there is a recall for this...

is rubber piece that covers the brake switch...
along with a new brake sitch...
