FL 1991 CRX Si - MINT! Properly built for a B-swap...
1991 Black Honda CRX Si
$3,500 AS-IS!
I purchased the car with the body work, paint, and interior nearly fully restored - you will not find any rust on the vehicle! The seals, sashes, and trim work have all been replaced within the past two years. The pictures speak for themselves. Unfortunately, the motor was hydrolocked a few weeks ago during a heavy rainstorm, and the a connecting rod finally fired out the front of the block. I have simply lost the momentum to continue with this car. I purchased the vehicle for $4900, and invested more than $6,000 over the past eight months. NO TRADES, NO PARTING OUT. Below is the list of parts/work completed on the vehicle since I purchased it. Even with this list in its entirety, I am probably still forgetting parts.
Contact via email ONLY! - Surfjunkie44@yahoo.com
Engine and Transmission - D16A6
(all of the parts listed below have approximately 800 miles on them)
OEM motor mounts (x3)
OEM pressure plate
OEM clutch disc
OEM throwout bearing and spring
OEM clutch pilot bearing
Resurfaced OEM flywheel
OEM cap, rotor, plugs, wires
OEM thermostat and gasket
OEM oil pan gasket
OEM valve cover gasket
OEM spark plug cylinder well gaskets
OEM rear main seal
OEM axle seals
Mobil 1 full synthetic oil (5W20/5W30... I don't recall)
Transmission flush (Mobil 1 full synthetic 10W40)
The engine has an unidentified C.A.I., and a large port header that has been properly wrapped in thermal tape, sprayed, and clamped. There is also an unidentified aftermarket stainless steel exhaust that exits with factory tips - the vehicle has a nice clean sound with NO raspy backfires, but breathes quite well.
Cooling
PWR half-size radiator (specifically designed for Full-Race Motorsports)
Spal 12" high performance low profile radiator fan (1450 cfm)
Spal 9" low profile condenser fan (850 cfm - uninstalled)
HPS silicone reducer (1.5" to 1" - the radiator is for a B-series engine)
OEM upper and lower radiator hoses
OEM Honda silicate-free fluid
The A/C high pressure line blew a few weeks ago due to dry rot. I had ordered the new Spal condenser fan before ordering the new hose, and just never got around to it. The A/C does blow ice cold once the hose is replaced and the system is recharged.
Braking and Suspension - Front End
Full-Race Motorsports traction bar (with proper alignment)
Neuspeed Sport springs
Koni Yellows
ARP extended length studs
Energy Suspension end links
Brembo OEM-styled blanks
OEM brake pads
OEM inner LCA bushings
OEM UCA
OEM UCA ball joints
OEM spring isolators
OEM wheel bearings
Vehicle also includes Megan Racing front end upper & lower tie bars.
Braking and Suspension - Rear End
Steel braided brake lines
Neuspeed Sport springs
Tokico Blues
Koni Yellows (uninstalled)
Brembo OEM-styled rotors (uninstalled)
OEM brake pads (uninstalled)
OEM trailing arm bushings (uninstalled)
Wheels and Tires
ITR knock-offs (7/10 due to scuffs and mild "curbage" from previous owner)
205/45R16 W-rated non-directional on the front (less than 100 miles)
205/40R16 ZR-rated directional on the rear (50-60% remaining - balanced 400 miles ago)
I had planned to swap the rear tires to a 45 profile after completing the rear suspension work; this tire size not only fills the wheel well gap, but adds a more cushy ride to a racing-inspired suspension setup. I prefer non-directional tires due to wear characteristics.
Interior and Exterior
JDM SIR steering wheel (reconditioned as best I could)
JDM Prelude shifter **** and boot (leather one-piece)
EDM Civic VT cluster (155 MPH/9500 RPM)
Pioneer head unit
APC projectors (unfortunately came with the car)
13% charcoal window tint w/o front strip (1 month ago)
OEM wheel well liners
OEM Stanley corner lights (passenger side uninstalled)
OEM Stanley bumper lights
OEM hand brake (used, but good condition - uninstalled)

i am also interested in more engine bay shots. does the a/c work? I don't see a condenser.
You've done a great job of showcasing how clean the car is. It looks awesome! Are there any flaws a potential buyer should know about?

G2, if you look at the second engine bay photograph, you will see the top edge of the condenser peeking out. The A/C was functioning quite wonderfully until the high pressure line from the compressor to the condenser burst (dry rot from twenty years of heat cycling). This occured approximately two to three weeks prior to the engine hydrolock. I purchased a new Spal fan (850 cfm) for the condenser, but never installed the fan due to the line failure. The high pressure line replacement cost is approximately $250 from Majestic Honda, and then the cost of the charging the system again. Other than that, the pictures truly speak for themselves - the car is in quite amazing condition. I will take some additional engine bay photographs and post them by end of week.
