Default 1994 Civic , no voltage at the ignition

My 1994 Civic DX is having issues starting. The starter won't turn over when I turn the key. For a while I was just jumping from the batterey to the solenoid with the key on to get starts. Now the I can't even do that. I have checked the ignition switch and found I am not even getting electric current to the switch. I can't track back past where the 2 big wires and 2 blue wires connection in the harness goes. I bought the car used and someone before me was very creative with the electric tape. What wire does the ignition switch get it's electric current ? Does that wire come straight from the batterrey or through relays before the switch ? Thank you for any help.
