Icon6 How much boost to run

I just recently boosted my 92 integra. The motor is completely stock and has about 200xxx kms on it. I have a GT28 turbo and was wondering what should i set my psi to. My friend said anything over 6 psi, my pistons will overheat and get mangled.

Whats a safe amount of boost?

Thanks.

FYI: Its going to be my D.D.

i ran 10psi/ebay t3t4 on a d16a6 with 260k miles for a year, no problems. only possible with a good tune/conservative timing, and good gas. goodluck

figure out a safe reliable power goal and your tuner will help you reach it.

like mr. johnson was saying, you should be more concerned with the power level than what psi you are running,

people get too caught up in psi,
