2000 civic si **I NEED HELP***
i recently replaced the head gasket on my 2000 honda civic si ( with the b16a) Its making a loud clicking noise its quiet at idle but as soon as the rpms go up it starts clicking
Sounds like valves to me. My guess is that you have one if not both of your cams off timing. How did you secure them when you removed the head? How did you align timing when you put it back together? Did you rotate the assembly after everything was together to make sure "all" of the timing marks were in their proper place? i.e crank, both cam gear marks? Also did you torque the head properly?

I aligned the timing marks the crank to the mark on the timing cover ( the one alone not the three together) and the two cams i aligned the notch between the two
I rotated the crank by hand twice to see if i could hear any noise it rotated freely and everything seemed lined up after i got back to t.d.c.
Yes it is the timing. You could be off one tooth on one or both cam gears. The other thing I can think of is did you check where exactly the crank timing mark was when you disassembled everything? If you were off before you took it apart and put it back together where it should have been, well then your off.
